So, after getting into a fight with my dad and finding out that I did not do so well in Econ, and that I'm pretty sure I have ANOTHER kidney infection (no joke, yall), this has not been a good break so far. I am going to buckle down so tightly next semester that it will hurt. I can't mess around this time. I talked to my mom and she said that I need to change my habits. I am in complete agreement with her. I need to go to the gym, go to bed at a resonable hour, not putz around so much, and FREAKING STUDY A LOT. Study study study study. Maybe I will be able to regain my GPA and even make it better. I have come to the realization that I really don't study. At all. Not like I should anyway. UVA is really hard, and I need to start studying like I go to a really hard school. Blah is all I have to say. And I still haven't gotten most of my grades. Blah to the Blahblah. I think the only thing I'm really good at is entertaining people.

So, this week was incredibly unproductive. Being at home makes me tired, because there is nothing to do except hangout. My family wants me to be with them every second, which leaves little time to study. Hopefully Econ won't hurt me too badly since I didn't study. At least I did get to see Rent, Pride and Prejudice and Harry Potter. All I found to be very very good. Especially P&P and Harry. Oh Jane Austen and J.K Rowling. I am really ready to go back to school and STUDY. What a strange thing for me to say.

Well, these papers are sort of not that great. I can't see my TA for PLCP because I realized when leaving class today that I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT I AM GOING TO WRITE ABOUT. But I will be able to get an extension on my English paper if I need it, which is worth two huzzahs. Voglio andare alla casa mia.

I was so awake a few hours ago! Quest-que fait? Now I'm so tired so tired, listening to Aida and trying to write a response paper for Politics of Western Crap. Let's just run away, run away...

Woot! I didn't fail econ! I actually did better than average! Maybe things are looking up, since I that I have been in funkland for too too long. Going back to the doctor tomorrow to check out the ol' kidneys. Hopefully all is well, except for the nauseaus feeling I seem to have all the time now. I'm starting to worry more and more about what to major in, though I have until the end of this year to decide. Oh, why do we have to grow up?

Pride and Prejudice was orgasmic as usual. Though Clare and I were the only ones to hold out until 3 am and watch the entire 5 hours worth of Colin Firth, it was so worth it. I love hanging out with the girls and a mute Steven!

UGH, I just ate so much candy. On a more positive note, I have to read 500 pages of PLCP shit because I was too lazy to read it when first assigned. Oh well.

So much fun tonight. Jenny, you are so drunk and hilarious. Lewis wants to have your babies because you are so cool.

Why does Comparative Politics suck so much? The readings suck, the teacher super sucks. The only good thing is that Clare is in it (we can write notes about HIM back and forth). Why can't we learn about policies NOW, and not read outdated articles about how the Labour party is dead circa 1988? I hope that American Politics classes are better, or I might be out of a major. I'm also a bit freaked out about housing next year. The Shea House isn't happening, but hopefully Brown will (Steve, your cue to pull strings is now). Blah is how I feel all the time now. Everyone keeps saying I'm anemic since I'm tired all the time. Let's hope not. Maybe if I went to bed at a decent hour instead of 2 am that would help. You never know.

    Holla
Y'all, I just found my new favorite novel, called Rock Me All Night by Katherine Garbera!

    Here's an especially poignant passage:

Her eyes were slumberous. Her body flushed with desire and her hips lifted, rubbing her wetness over his erection.

    He groaned, thrusting against her.

Well, I hope y'all enjoyed that as much as I did.

    11:40 pm
Hey Y'all! Sorry I haven't updated in a while, but I am uber lazy. So Rome is in a week, though the memorizing of my music has not commenced yet. Hopefully this will not bit me in the ass. I am really excited excited! For those of you who may read this (like CLARE), I don't have your address so you can get a postcard from the great city of Rome. Live Journal me back, because I really want to send everyone one. It is really boring in the Va Beach. It is hot and already overrun with tourists. Blah. But Rome is soon, and then school! I'll be so glad to see everyone again...

So the trip to Texas wasn't that much fun. It was interesting to see where my family is from, but wow is it different down there. EVERYONE speaks Spanish, and if you don't, then you are screwed. 99.9% of all conversations down there are in Spanish, so if you aren't fluent then good luck (which I am not). The Rio Grande Valley is like an extension of Mexico. Its hard to believe that I am related to everyone down there. My family is so Mexican, I felt out of place.
